Currently, we have four pediatricians and one Nurse-Practitioner providing direct patient care for your children. All of our physicians are board certified and Fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics (F.A.A.P.).   Dr. Hitchcock has been practicing in San Diego since 1988. He founded La Jolla Pediatrics in 1990 specializing in the care of infants, children and adolescents. Specialties: Dr. Hitchcock has a special interest in asthma, antibiotics and immunizations. He is on several national advisory panels for pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Hitchcock also serves as a consultant, speaking to fellow physicians around the country about the latest data on infectious diseases, asthma and appropriate antibiotic use. Dr. Hitchcock is a published author of several articles on childhood and adolescent immunizations and asthma management in children. Some of Dr. Hitchcock’s latest articles can be found in our links section.   Dr. Hitchcock is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics (UCSD). He is on staff at Scripps La Jolla, Scripps Encinitas, Rady Children's Hospital and Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women   Personal: Doctor Bill is from Los Angeles, and is the youngest of 12 children. He is married to Susan and has five children of his own – Eric, Ryan, Cole, Quinn and Valerie. He also has a granddaughter, Angelica, who lives in Italy.
Dr. Warner is originally from the Bay Area. He has worked for La Jolla Pediatrics/La Costa Pediatrics for a year. Before he joined us, Dr. Warner completed four years of service to the Army as Chief of Pediatrics at Ft. Irwin Army Base near Barstow. At Ft. Irwin, Dr. Warner provided all levels of pediatric care from the emergency room to the delivery room.   Education: *University of Michigan - Undergraduate Training *Loyola University - Chicago, Medical School (1995-1999) *Children's Hospital Los Angeles - Pediatric Internship and Residency (1999-2002) *Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics Dr. Robert L. Warner, FAAP   Personal: Doctor Rob was recruited to Southern California by his wife Chris, who is a Labor and Delivery Nurse at Scripps La Jolla. He has worked for La Jolla Pediatrics/La Costa Pediatrics since 2006. They have one son, Jackson.
Dr. Gandhi has been practicing medicine since 1999. She began her training in Bombay, India at Seth GS Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital. In 1994, she moved to the U.S. to finish her training, and she decided to stay here! Dr. Gandhi has been working with us since 2005.   Education: *Seth Medical College (1988-1994) *Henry Ford Hospital - Michigan, Pediatric Internship and Residency (1996-1999) *Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics Dr. Sheetal Gandhi, FAAP . Personal: Dr. Gandhi is married to Dr. Nikhil Gandhi, an internist at Grossmont Hospital. They have two children, Sanil and Rhea.
Cambria has been with our group for almost 8 years. She is a Nurse Practitioner who brings 20 years of experience to our practice..   Education: *University of California, Santa Barbara - B.A. in Biology (1987-1992) *University of California, Los Angeles - B.S. in Nursing (1992-1994) *Columbia University School of Nursing, New York, NY - Masters in Nursing, Emergency/Critical Care, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program. (1995-1997) *Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Cambria De Marco, PNP   Personal: Cambria grew up in Del Mar. She has a son, Nicholas.
Laura Wheeler is new to our group. She is a Nurse Practitioner with more than 16 years of nursing experience. .   Education: *Ohio State University - B.A. in Nursing (1975) *University of San Diego - M.S. in Nursing (1986) *University of San Diego - Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certificate (2002) *Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Laura Wheeler   Personal: Laura is married to Dr. Erv Wheeler. Together they have three daughters.
