La Jolla Pediatrics accepts most Preferred Provider (PPO) Insurance Plans. If you are uncertain if we accept your insurance plan, please call our insurance billing office at (858) 457-0030.   Please provide us with the most current insurance information when you come to the office and any time there is a change. It is important for us to have an up-to-date address, name and date of birth of the policy holder and patient along with a copy of both sides of the insurance card. Parents please note – it is your responsibility to add children to insurance coverage within the first 30 days of birth.   Patients should be aware that it is their responsibility to pay any money due at the time of service. It is also the patient’s responsibility to pay any balances owed if their insurance does not pay, or does not pay in a timely fashion.
A monthly bill is sent out on the first of every month. Additional bills are sent out when insurance payments are received and money is due. If your insurance company sends correspondence asking about other insurance coverage or the nature of the accident or illness, please answer immediately. Insurance companies will not pay any related claims until a response is received.
